Why can’t I add my Physical FASTCARD to the 13cabs app for in-app payments?

Learn why some Physical FASTCARDs cannot be added to the 13cabs app and how to resolve the issue.

If you receive a “Could Not Verify” message when adding a Physical FASTCARD to the 13cabs app, it means the card does not have the required digital permissions.

Why this happens:

  • Digital permissions are required for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

  • MFA enables one-time passcode (OTP) verification for app payments.

  • If digital permissions were not enabled when the FASTCARD was ordered, the card cannot be verified in the app.


How to resolve this issue:

  1. Use a Digital FASTCARD (recommended):

    • A Digital FASTCARD can be issued within minutes in Cabcharge Plus.

    • Digital FASTCARDs support in-app payments immediately.

  2. Enable MFA (SMS verification) on behalf of traveler:

    • As a Custodian, log in to Cabcharge Plus.

    • Go to Inventory → Physical FASTCARD.

    • Locate the relevant card using the card number or traveler name.

    • Click the green drop-down and select Edit Settings.

    • If not already done, assign the card to a user profile.

    • Navigate to the Product Rules tab.

    • Enter the mobile number to be used for SMS verification.

    • Click Save.


Important:

  • Only Custodians can request digital permission activation on behalf of their organisation.

  • For urgent needs, issuing a Digital FASTCARD is the fastest option.
